### The Four Winds - Set - 4 Coins 4 x 1/2 Oz Silver - Proof - in Color - 4 x 1/2 Ounce of 99.9% Silver - Motives in Color - Limited Mintage only 500 sets - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box This set consisting of four coins in color, each struck from a 1/2 ounce of silver in proof quality, has been issued by the **New Zealand Post** in honor of **The Four Winds**. The designs of the four coins in the set were created by New Zealand artist David Burke and tell the unique New Zealand legend of **"Ngā Hau e Whā"** - the Four Winds. Each coin features one of the four winds as well as the inscription "NGA HAU E WHA - THE FOUR WINDS", the name of the respective wind, the denomination and the inscription "KOTAHI TARA". The reverse of each coin shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the weight, fineness and year of issue. Māori tradition distinguishes between four winds that prevail in New Zealand. The east wind, **Te Hau Rāwhiti**, follows the path of the sun across the sky, whereas the south wind, **Te Hau Tonga**, brings rain and cold weather. The main prevailing wind is the west wind **Te Hau-ā-uru**. This wind brings the rainfall that favors the lush vegetation on the west coast. The warm north wind is called **Te Hau Raki**. The qualities and temperatures of the four winds are emphasized by means of the different colors of the coins. The **set consisting of four 1/2 ounce silver proof coins in color** is **limited to only 500 pieces worldwide**. It is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from the New Zealand Post.
