### Pierre Hermé - Macaron 20 Euro - 1 Oz Silver - Proof - Extraordinary Design - Official issue in collaboration with Pierre Hermé - Limited Mintage only 5,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The uniquely shaped coin was created in collaboration with the famous French pastry chef **Pierre Hermé** and is a celebration of the art of craftsmanship. The commemorative coin was minted from one ounce of 99.9% silver in the shape of a macaron, a French meringue made of almond flour with a layer of cream in the center. The macaron is the trademark of the house of Pierre Hermé and has been one of the confectioner's most popular creations since the beginning. On the obverse of the **silver coin**[](https://www.emk.com/en-us/euro/silver-coins/)is the official engraving of Pierre Hermé. The fleur de sel, an important ingredient in the master confectioner's recipes, is depicted in the form of a crystallised atom on the reverse. Also included in the design is the year of issue "2023" and the denomination "20 EURO". Pierre Hermé was born in Colmar in 1961 and is a French confectioner and entrepreneur. He modernised the foundations of pâtisserie alongside Gaston Lenôtre and founded his own brand with Charles Znaty in 1998. Hermé was awarded the title of World's Best Pastry Chef by The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2016 and was named the fourth most influential French person in the world by Vanity Fair. The **Macaron-shaped coin** is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from the **Monnaie de Paris**.
