### French Excellence - Louvre - Sphinx 10 Euro - 22,2 Gram Silver - Proof - Extraordinary Design - Official issue in collaboration with the Louvre Museum - Limited Mintage only 5,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box With the **French Excellence** series, the **Monnaie de Paris** celebrates the tradition of fine French craftsmanship. The 2022 edition under the theme "Treasures of Egypt" is a collaboration with the Louvre Museum and celebrates the **200th anniversary of the deciphering of hieroglyphs** and the **100th anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb**. To commemorate these two historic events, the coin was struck from 99.9% silver **in the shape of the great sphinx of Tanis**. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "LOUVRE", "1822" and "2022". The reverse features the gold-plated bronze case that once belonged to Divine Worshipper Shepenupet. Depicted on the case is the god Amun watching over the young Tutankhamun. The glass pyramid of the Louvre is indicated in the background, flanked by the cartouches of Tutankhamun. The design is complemented by various ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, as well as the denomination "10 EURO". The limited commemorative coin in proof quality is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
