Struck from .999 fine gold, each of the panda gold coin is legal tender with a face value of 10 Yuan. It contains 1 grams (0.0321troy oz) of fine gold content. The coin that you receive comes with its sealed plastic sheet from the mint. The coin measures 18 mm in diameter. The reverse design features an adorable panda playing with a bamboo. The background is filled by a wall of bamboo stalks, and the legal tender denomination of 10 Yuan is indicated just below the panda. A portion of the top and bottom of the reverse design employs an attractive bamboo leaf pattern. Within this bottom portion, the coin's technical specifications are inscribed: "1g Au .999." The obverse features the familiar facade of the Temple of Heaven's Hall of Good Harvests, a distinctive building located in Beijing.
