### Animal Portraits (1.) - Polar Bear 1 Oz Silver - Proof - Gilded - 1st release in the "Animal Portraits" series - Gilded Motive - Mintage only 7,500 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The first issue in the **Animal Portraits** series was struck by the Royal Canadian Mint from **1 ounce of 99.99% pure silver** and is dedicated to the **polar bear** (Ursus maritimus), which is the largest of the four bear species native to Canada. The **gilded motive** shows a polar bear in its natural habitat and the inscription “CANADA 2025”. The design gives the impression that the polar bear is striding beyond the coin's borders. The reverse has also been selectively gold-plated and features the effigy of King Charles III and the denomination “20 DOLLARS”. Polar bears are the world's largest land predators. The apex predators are native to the polar region at the North Pole and live there as solitary animals with a life expectancy of up to 30 years. The **gilded polar bear silver proof coin** is issued with a limited mintage of 7,500 pieces worldwide and will be delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
