### The Beauty of the Universe (1.) - Supernova 20 Euro - 22,42 Gram Silver - Proof - 1st Issue in the new series "The Beauty of the Universe" - Mintage 30,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The new series **"The Beauty of the Universe"** from the **Austrian Mint** is dedicated to physical-astronomical phenomena shaped in a unique and extraordinary form. The first release features the **Supernova**, also known as the Crab Nebula, which is around 6500 light years away from our solar system. This fascinating phenomenon in space is caused by an extremely bright explosion at the end of a star's life cycle, which hurls matter and energy into space and thus influences the development of galaxies and interstellar environments. The motive of the **uniquely shaped coin** shows a supernova in color, surrounded by several stylized stars and the inscription "SUPERNOVA". In order to depict this physical phenomenon in a simplified, three-dimensional way, the coin has been curved concavely and convexly. This creates a wavy effect that is intended to imitate the powerful explosion of a supernova. The reverse shows the Crab Nebula, the remains of the supernova observed in the year 1054. In the center of the coin is the Crab pulsar, a source of cosmic radiation. Also included in the design are the inscriptions "Crab Nebula", "Crab Pulsar", "11x7Lj", "6500Lj" as well as the denomination "20 Euro" and the year of issue "2024". The **Euro silver coin** **Supernova** in proof quality is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
