### Reaching for the Sky - Above the Clouds (3.) 20 Euro - 22,42 gr. Silver - Proof - 3rd Issue of the "Reaching for the Sky" Series - Four coin Series - Mintage 30,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The third issue of the **"Reaching for the Sky"** Series celebrates how the dream of flight became reality for the masses. The ultimate symbol of this evolution is the world's largest passenger airliner - the 853-seat **Airbus 380**. In 1919 the first commercial flight got underway between Berlin and Weimar. The tiny and uncomfortable cabins could only hold a handful of passengers and commercial air travel was considered luxury. From 1970, flying became democratized. From there, wide-body aircraft were increasingly used and flying became affordable for more people. The motive of the **silver coin** shows the Airbus 380 approaching. A section of an airport can be seen in the background. The design on the reverse contains an image of the twin-engine Vickers VC 1 Viking propeller aircraft. It is the first passenger aircraft to be developed after the Second World War. Representing the emerging long-distance tourism, the Statue of Liberty, the Golden Gate Bridge and palm trees complement the coin design. The **"Above the Clouds" silver coin** is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
