### Australian Koala - 2022 Jubilee Edition - 15 Years Australian Koala 3 Oz Silver - Proof - Gilded - **First 3 Oz Silver Coin of the Perth Mint** - Gilded with 22-carat Gold - 2022 Australian Koala Design - Mintage only 2,000 pieces - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box To commemorate the **15th anniversary of the Australian Koala**, the **Perth Mint** has issued this **gilded coin** struck **for the first time from 3 ounces** of 99.99% pure silver. The design features the new **2022 Australian Koala design** and has been partially **gilded in 22-carat gold**. The motive features a koala sleeping on the bough of a eucalyptus tree. Surrounding the design is the weight and fineness, as well as the inscriptions "KOALA" and "15th ANNIVERSARY". The reverse features the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "3 DOLLARS", "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA". Additionally, the anniversary numbers "2007" and "2022" as well as another koala holding onto a branch, are depicted. Along with the kangaroo, the koala is the most familiar representative of the Australian fauna and one of the most popular symbols of Australia. On the first view, koalas seem to be loners. Only on closer observation is it possible to see that they live in a stable social system. Each animal has its own territory. In it there are solid food and sleeping trees. Koalas eat only the nutrient-poor leaves of the eucalyptus tree. They are still very fussy. Of the approximately 600 eucalyptus species in Australia, they accept only a very small number as food. The **limited 3 Oz Koala gilded silver proof coin** is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
