The reverse features the American bald eagle with an oak branch in its talons. Framing the eagle design are the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "ONE DOLLAR - 1OZ. FINE SILVER". Color television arrived in the Federal Republic of Germany on August 25, 1967 and was launched with the symbolic push of a button by Vice Chancellor Willy Brandt.
