### Gods of Olympus (3.) - Hades 5 Oz Silver - Uncirculated - Third issue in the series "Gods of Olympus" - Premium Bullion Coin - 99.99% Silver - Strictly limited Mintage only 450 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in Capsule The **"Gods of Olympus"** Series by the **Perth Mint** made the Antique Finish popular in 2014. The coins were highly demanded and sold out quickly within a very short time. Now the Greek gods are returning with a new edition of the series. The third release is dedicated to **Hades**, the ruler of the underworld and god of the dead. The motive of the **Premium Bullion Coin struck from 5 ounces of 99.99% pure silver** depicts an iconic representation of Hades on a throne made of bones and skulls. At his side is the three-headed hellhound Kerberos, which guards the entrance to the realm of the dead. An important attribute, which is also featured, is the so-called Hades' helmet - the horned headgear of the underworld god, providing its wearer with invisibility. The inscription "HADES" and the mint mark "P" of the Perth Mint are also included in the design. The reverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination, weight, fineness and year of issue. **Hades** is the first-born son of the Titans Kronos and Rhea, and the consort of Persephone. Like his siblings, Hades was devoured by his father immediately after his birth, as he had been prophesied to be dethroned by one of his sons. Instead of Zeus, however, he swallowed a stone - thus Zeus succeeded in freeing his siblings again. This was followed by a 10-year battle against the Titans. With the help of the Cyclops and their weapons - thunder, trident and Hades' helmet - the siblings were able to win the battle. Zeus, Hades and Poseidon then cast lots to decide who should receive which kingdom - Zeus received the sky, Poseidon the sea and Hades the underworld. Since then, Hades has ruled over the realm of the dead, which he leaves only extremely rarely. The strictly limited **premium bullion coin** is delivered in a protective capsule including a certificate of authenticity.
