Both coins were struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in uncirculated quality. They were refined with **black ruthenium** and partially with **white color applications**. The African Wildlife Series is characterized by an annually changing motive and is very popular among collectors and investors worldwide. The motives of both coins show a full-grown elephant. The African steppe landscape is outlined in the background. At the edge of the coin are the inscriptions "AFRICAN WILDLIFE" and "ELEPHANT", "1 oz" and the fineness "Ag 999.9". The reverse features the Somalian state coat of arms, which depicts a shield with a star, which is supported by two leopards.
