The design is based on Carmine Infantino and Terry Austin’s cover artwork from March 1979. The first STAR WARS™ comic books were published by Marvel in 1977 and told the adventures of the classic trilogy. By 1986 the series consisted of 107 issues. Officially licensed by Lucasfilm™, this striking coin note was struck from 35g .999 silver and features a depiction of Luke Skywalker™, Princess Leia™, C3PO™, R2-D2™ and the Sith™ Lord Darth Vader™ in color. The right and left corners of the coin show the copyright and the unique serial number of the silver coin note.
