### Tetris™ - Tetrimino Shapes - Set 7 x 1 Oz Silver - Uncirculated - in Color With Matrix playing field - 25,4 x 20,3 cm - Officially licensed by Tetris Company™ - 7 x 1 Ounce of 99.9% Silver - Limited Mintage only 250 sets - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in Acrylic Display Box in the shape of the Tetris Matrix playing field This extraordinary set consists of **7 x 1 ounce 99.9% silver coins**, commemorating the computer game **Tetris™**. A total of 7 coins are struck in the shapes and colors of the game blocks, also known as **Tetriminos**. The reverse presents the official logo of Tetris™, the coat of arms of Niue, the denomination, the fineness and the weight. As a special highlight, the Tetriminos have been arranged on the world-famous **matrix playing field** and display a game of Tetris™ already in play. The next move with the red Tetrimino is in progress. The game field is completed with the game progress indicators "HOLD", "LEVEL7", "SCORE 198466", "LINES 77" and "NEXT". The **Tetris™ - Tetrimino Shapes Set** is delivered in a protective acrylic display box and a numbered certificate of authenticity. Tetris™ originated from the idea of the programmer Alexey Pajitnov. The latter developed an electronic game in which players could arrange puzzle pieces in real time as they fell from above onto the playing field. The resulting design was a game with seven characteristic geometric tiles, each consisting of four squares. Pajitnov named this game "Tetris", a combination of "tetra" (the Greek word for "four") and "tennis" (his favorite sport).
