The motive features two heads in profile and another head from the front. The three figures depicted represent the entirety of the people as sovereign. The left half of the coin shows a watchful eye surrounded by stylized laurel leaves. The inscriptions "ÖSTERREICH IST EINE DEMOKRATISCHE REPUBLIK" and "IHR RECHT GEHT VOM VOLK AUS" as well as the year of issue "2022" are also part of the design. As with all previous Austrian 5 **Euro** coins, the nine national coats of arms are arranged on the reverse of the nine-sided coin. The uncirculated **silver coin** is delivered in an illustrated blistercard.
