Struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality, the design features a depiction of King George VI in the background and his daughter - Queen Elizabeth II - in the foreground. The words "H. M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II - 1952 ACCESSION" run along the upper edge of the coin. The lower edge of the coin is decorated with a crown and detailed floral elements. **Below the crown, a real diamond has been inserted on this coin**. The reverse features the Jody Clark effigy as well as the denomination, the year of issue and the fineness. On 6 February 1952, at the age of 25, she ascended the throne for the first time and was crowned Queen on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey. The ceremony, with the exception of the anointing and communion, was televised for the first time.
