### The Lord of the Rings™ - Classic (2.) - Gandalf™ 1/4 Oz Gold - Proof - 2nd Issue of the new "The Lord of the Rings™ - Classic" Series - Officially licensed by WARNER BROS.™ ENTERTAINMENT - Limited Mintage only 250 pieces - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original wooden Box The second issue of the new **The Lord of the Rings™ Classic Series** is dedicated to **Gandalf™**. The coin was struck by the **New Zealand Mint** from a 1/4 ounce of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality. The design features a depiction of the powerful wizard in typical appearance: he wears his cloak, his hat and his long, wooden wand. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination and the year of issue. As Gandalf the Grey™, the wizard charged the Fellowship of Frodo Baggins with destroying the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom. On the dangerous journey, Gandalf™ accompanied and protected the company from Ringwraiths, Orcs and other threats. As he led the companions through the mines of Moria™ and the Balrog™ of Morgoth appeared, the wizard sacrified himself by battling the Balrog™ so his friends could escape, and later rises and returns as "Gandalf the White™". The limited **Lord of the Rings™ - Gandalf™ 1/4 oz gold proof coin** is delivered in the original wooden box and an illustrated Lord of the Rings™ packaging, including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
