### Wildlife (2.) - Tasmanian Devil 1 Oz Gold - Proof - Second Issue of the Wildlife Series - 99.99% Gold - Motive with Platinum Plating - Strictly limited mintage only 150 pieces - Delivery in original wooden Box with Certificate of Authenticity The second issue of the Australian **Wildlife Series** is dedicated to the **Tasmanian Devil**. He belongs to the family of the 'Dasyuridae' and is with a maximum body weight of up to 8 kilo the largest still living of its sort. Until he was put under protection in 1941, he was hunted intensively - since then the stock has recovered. The Tasmanian Devil can be found all over Tasmania, but mostly in dry forests and forest areas on the coast. Investigations have shown that the Tasmanian Devil has the strongest bite among mammals, thanks to the relatively large head. That's why the devil is depicted with mouth wide open, showing his impressive dentition on this highly detailed coin of 99.99% pure gold. The highlight of this coin is that it has been finished with a pure platinum coating, to accentuate the bit and the eyes of the devil. The reverse of the coin shows the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination, the year of issue and the fineness. The strictly limited gold coin comes in a wooden case including a certificate of authenticity.
