This very special gold coin with selective platinum plating from the Royal Canadian Mint is dedicated to this anniversary . The gold coin features Walter Ott’s iconic maple leaf design from the original Maple Leaf bullion coin release in 1988. The realistic-looking sugar maple leaf was engraved on the surface of the gold coin and coated with platinum. The reverse features the words 'CANADA' and 'FINE GOLD 1 OZ OR PUR' as well as the highest purity standard of '99999'. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II., the year '2018' and the face value of '200 DOLLARS.' The limited jubilee coin also bears commemorative edge lettering with the number '30' flanked on both sides by a maple leaf. This Maple Leaf commemorative coin is a very special numismatic collector's item.
