The third release is dedicated to the visionary architect **Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky** (1897-2000). The motive features a portrait of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky in front of a stylized floor plan. The design also includes the denomination, the year of issue and the inscriptions “REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH” and “MARGARETE SCHÜTTE-LIHOTZKY”. The reverse combines the depiction of the “Frankfurt Kitchen” and the Hietzing Werkbund Estate, and also shows a freely designed portrait of the young Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky. As one of the first women to study architecture in Austria and practise the profession, Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky gained international fame for her design of the “Frankfurt Kitchen” and has since been regarded as the inventor of the modern fitted kitchen. The famous female architect was also known for her resistance to National Socialism and was involved in social building programs in Istanbul and Moscow, among other places.
