### The ANZAC Spirit - In Flanders Fields 2 Oz Gold - High Relief - Proof - ANZAC Spirit Release - 99,99% Gold - Limited Mintage only 100 pieces - Numbered Certificate - In original Box with Certificate of Authenticity The ANZAC Spirit 100th Anniversary Coin Series commemorating those who lost their lives on the Western Front during the First World War. The coin of two ounces 99,99% gold shows a gravestone in a field of poppies with the first verse of 'In Flanders Fields' written across it and the date 1918 - 2018. The design includes a helmet and boots, two red poppies and four larks flying in the background. The poem In Flanders Fields was written by the Canadian poet, physician and soldier, Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae (1872 - 1918) in May 1915. It was first published by Punch magazine in Britain in December 1915 and within months it had become an enduring tribute to the sacrifices made by those fighting in the First World War. Edged lettering features around the coin’s rim with the words, 'PRIDE - RESPECT - GRATITUDE'. The obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2018 year-date and the monetary denomination. The gold coin is delivered in a black and red themed display case including a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
