### Wedge-Tailed Eagle - 2024 1 Oz Gold - Proof - High Relief - **Anniversary edition - 10 years Wedge-Tailed Eagle** - 1 Oz 99.99% pure Gold - Limited Mintage only 500 pieces - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original wooden Box The 2024 edition of the **Wedge-Tailed Eagle** was struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold. It is the ninth design by the famous US Mint engraver John M. Mercanti, and celebrates the **10th anniversary of the Wedge-Tailed Eagle**. The motive of the **high relief gold coin** shows a soaring wedge-tailed eagle - the largest bird of prey in Australia - with outstretched wings against a patterned background and stylized sunbeams. The design is framed by the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE, "10th ANNIVERSARY" and "2024 1oz 9999 GOLD". The traditional mintmark "P" of the **Perth Mint** is also included in the design. The reverse shows the effigy of King Charles III as well as the denomination. The Wedge-Tailed eagle is one of the biggest eagles in the world. Its wings measure a wingspan of up to 2.7 meters. The impressive animal is mostly native to Australia, Tasmania and southern Papua New Guinea and feeds mainly on reptiles and small mammals. The **Wedge-Tailed Eagle 1 oz gold coin in high relief** is delivered in the original wooden box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Perth Mint.
