### Great Southern Land - Blue Lepidolite 2 Oz Gold - Proof - The coin features an authentic Australian Blue Lepidolite design - 99.99% pure Gold - Limited Mintage of 200 pieces - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivered in wooden box The 2025 **Great Southern Land - Blue Lepidolite** **coin** was struck by the **Perth Mint** from two ounces of 99.99% pure gold. The obverse features an insert of blue lepidolite – a rare lithium-bearing mineral, whose blue variety is found exclusively at a deposit in Western Australia, approximately 280 kilometres north of Perth. This extraordinary inlay is surrounded by intricate depictions of Australia’s iconic flying species: a majestic wedge-tailed eagle, a kookaburra, a splendid fairy wren, a blue-banded bee, a birdwing butterfly, a sugar glider, a sulphur-crested cockatoo, and a willie wagtail. The background is adorned with native flora motifs and further enhanced by The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, together with the coin’s weight, fineness, and the 2025 year-date. The reverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the denomination. The term “Great Southern Land” refers to Australia – a continent of breathtaking diversity. From tropical rainforests to sun-drenched deserts, unique landscapes and rich wildlife define the land that has been home to the First Nations for over 60,000 years. Today, Australia supports around 850 bird species, nearly half of which are endemic, as well as countless insects, many of which are yet to be scientifically described. The **limited Great Southern Land - Blue Lepidolite** **gold coin** is supplied in its original wooden box with a numbered certificate of authenticity from the **Perth Mint.**
