### Australian Koala - 2026 1 Oz Gold - Proof - High Relief - 2026 Australian Koala Design - 99.99% pure Gold - **Limited Mintage only 200 pieces** - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box This strictly limited **Australian Koala High Relief gold coin** is dedicated to the popular Australian marsupial. Alongside the kangaroo, the koala is one of Australia's best-known animal symbols. The coin was struck by the **Perth Mint** from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold in Proof quality. The 2026 issue depicts a koala sitting in a eucalyptus tree and holding a leafy sprig in its mouth, surrounded by further foliage. The inscription "KOALA", the year of issue, the coin's weight and fineness, as well as The Perth Mint's "P" mintmark, are also included in the design. The reverse features the Dan Thorne effigy of King Charles III, the denomination "100 DOLLARS" and the inscriptions "CHARLES III" and "AUSTRALIA". The raised High Relief motifs on the obverse and reverse were struck on concave coin surfaces to ensure optimal metal flow during the striking process and to achieve an especially detailed appearance. Together with the kangaroo, the **koala** is one of the best-known representatives of Australian fauna and, not least because of its cute appearance, is considered one of Australia's most popular symbols. At first glance, koalas appear to be solitary animals. Only upon closer observation does it become clear that they live within a stable social system. Each animal has its own territory, which contains fixed feeding and sleeping trees. Koalas feed exclusively on the nutrient-poor leaves of the eucalyptus tree. In doing so, they are highly selective. Of the roughly 600 eucalyptus species found in Australia, they accept only a very small number as food. The **strictly limited High Relief Koala gold coin** is presented in the original case including a numbered certificate of authenticity from The Perth Mint.
