The Premium Bullion Coin was struck by the **Perth Mint** from one ounce of 999.9 gold in uncirculated quality and shows a depiction of Captain Moody's ship, the Rising Sun, with a burning ship in the background. The outline of a skull is formed from the smoke of the burning ship. The design also includes the inscriptions "THE RISING SUN", "BLACK FLAG: WILLIAM MOODY", the weight, fineness and the Perth Mint's traditional mint mark "P". The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "TUVALU 100 DOLLARS", "QUEEN ELIZABETH II", "2022" and "1oz 9999 Gold". Captain Moody was one of the most notorious pirates in the Caribbean in 1718 and 1719. In a very short time, he and his crew plundered countless ships and set them on fire after successfully exploiting them. However, his behavior towards his own crew was bitterly resented by them after some time, causing them to force Moody, together with some of his followers, onto a small boat and set sail without them. The infamous captain was never seen again and has since been considered lost at sea.
