The rat is the first of 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac calender. The motive features a rat surrounded by auspicious lychee and the Chinese character for "rat". The reverse features the lunar calendar wheel, with the rat at the top of the wheel, and the Jody-Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The gold coin is the first to bear the Royal Australian Mint´s new security feature. Each coin is protected by three levels of security and is therefore tamper-proof. The pictured hand scanner is not included in the delivery. The limited Premium Gold Bullion Coin is delivered in a capsule. For investors the coins are delivered per 10 in the Original-Roll of the Royal Australian Mint.
