### Australia Zoo (4.) - Southern White Rhinoceros 1 Oz Gold - Uncirculated - 4th Issue from the Australia Zoo Series - Premium Bullion Coin - 99.99% pure Gold - Mintage only 250 pieces - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The fourth issue in the **Australia Zoo Series** from the **Royal Australian Mint** was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure gold and is dedicated to the **Southern White Rhinoceros**. The motive shows a detailed depiction of an adult white rhinoceros with a cub. Above the two rhinos is the inscription "AUSTRALIA ZOO - SOUTHERN WHITE RHINOCEROS". The weight and fineness complete the design. The reverse features the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The years of her reign, the denomination "100 DOLLARS" and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA 2023" are also included in the design. The southern white rhinoceros is the most abundant rhino species, with an estimated population of about 20,000 individuals, but is listed as "potentially endangered" by the IUCN. As a grazer, it prefers the African short grass savannahs, such as in Kenya, Namibia and South Africa, as its habitat. There it lives mostly as a solitary animal and spends half of the day feeding. Males of the southern white rhinoceros can reach an impressive weight of 3.5 tons, whereas the females weigh up to 2 tons with a body length of about 3.50 meters. The limited **Australia Zoo - Southern White Rhinoceros Premium Gold Bullion Coin** is delivered in the original box including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
