1908 Sydney Sovereign PCGS MS62
Of the later Sydney and Melbourne Edward VII sovereigns, the 1908-S sovereign is one of the better dates (although there aren’t too many collectors who appear to be aware of this). I’ve reviewed my past sales history, and have not had a PCGS MS62 1908-S sovereign in stock since November 2011. Meanwhile, PCGS has graded only 16 examples of the coin in Mint State (2/14). If you’re looking for an underappreciated date with some upside, this is your coin. Scarce. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
