2008 London Olympic Centenary Two Pound Two Pound Piedfort Silver Proof Olympics Coin
This piedfort UK £2 celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 4th Olympiad London 1908. Struck in the same year that London was passed the Olympic reins from Beijing, the coin marks the 1908 Games with a reverse design by Thomas Docherty. Struck opposite the definitive Elizabeth II effigy, the commemorative piece features a running track design complete with special inscriptions. As a piedfort edition, the coin is struck in 24.00 grams of sterling silver alloy, for a weighty, proof-standard specification. Included with this 2008 1908 London Olympics £2 is the original presentation packaging from the Mint - including the numbered COA. Only 1,619 were reportedly sold, making this a scarce commemorative coin for sporting enthusiasts! System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
