This 1985 Isle of Man coin set celebrates The Life And Times Of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. Struck by the Pobjoy Mint of Surrey, the set of six cupronickel Crowns is finished in its famed Diamond Finish. Each bears a reverse design which symbolises a chapter in the Queen Mother's life up to that point, such as her childbirth, marriage, raising of a family, and her role in the royal family. Her daughter, Elizabeth II, occupies the obverse of each Isle of Man Crown. The Pobjoy Mint's Diamond Finish is protected through the included presentation slab, itself covered by the outer blue envelope.
