Collectable 1999 Cretan Bull [Two Pound](file:///buy-coins/2-two-pounds/) from the popular [Labours of Hercules](file:///buy-coins/circulated/1997-2000-hercules-2-gibraltar-set/) series, struck for [Gibraltar](file:///buy-coins/gibraltar/) by the [Pobjoy Mint](file:///buy-coins/pobjoy-mint/). These coins depict Hercules' seventh labour: capturing the Cretan Bull. This magnificent but savage creature had been sent by Poseidon and was laying waste to Crete. Hercules subdued the bull with his bare hands, transporting it alive across the sea to King Eurystheus in Tiryns. - The reverse of these bi-metallic coins features a tiny 'PM' mintmark and 'AA' die letters - The obverse shows [Ian Rank-Broadley](file:///blog/ian-rank-broadley/)'s definitive portrait of [Queen Elizabeth II](file:///buy-coins/elizabeth-ii/) - These commemorative [circulation](file:///buy-coins/circulated/) strike Territories £2s may show signs of handling
