2022 Lion Of England Five Pound Brilliant Uncirculated Royal Tudor Beasts Mint Pack Coin
This BU Lion of England Five Pound Coin is the second release in the Royal Mint's Royal Tudor Beasts Series. In heraldry, the lion is believed to have first appeared on royal emblems in the 12th century and has been part of the Royal Arms for as long as it has existed. In this modern interpretation, David Lawrence reimagines the Tudor Lion from the statues at Hampton Court Palace. The 'king of the beasts' is depicted with a crown on its head and is holding a shield of the combined arms of King Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. The fearsome reputation of Lawrence's lion is completed by the snarling face with all teeth bared, making the coin an especially pleasing design. To complement the reverse, the obverse engraving was designed by Jody Clark. It shows the timeless fifth British coinage portrait of HM The Queen. As with most Royal Mint cupronickel coins struck to a brilliant uncirculated finish, this limited edition Tudor Lion of England £5 is issued in a protective capsule encased in an informative coin sleeve. The coin itself weighs 28.28 grams and has a diameter of 38 millimetres. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
