Description Queen’s Beast Two Ounce Silver Lion of England were made in 2016 and was the first of ten designs in the Royal Mints: Queen’s Beast bullion range. This range is in recognition of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, when she surpassed Queen Victoria as the longest reigning Monarch on the 9th September 2015. These will feature the ten heraldic beasts that stood guard at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. The original casts are now held in the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. Queen’s Beast Two Ounce Silver Lion coins are pure silver and have a weight of 62.2g. Earlier coins in the Queen’s Beast series are limited edition and may have to be purchased individually.
