Description Queen’s Beast Lion of England 2016 is the first of ten designs in the Royal Mints’ Queen’s Beast bullion range. This range celebrates the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, celebrating her becoming our longest reigning Monarch in 2015. The coins feature the ten heraldic beasts that stood guard at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. The original casts are now held in the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. The Queen’s Beast Lion of England 2016 coin is one troy ounce of 999.9 fine gold (24ct) and has a face value of £100. These coins are preowned. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Free and VAT free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
