This range is in recognition of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, when she surpassed Queen Victoria as the longest reigning Monarch on the 9th September 2015. These will feature the ten heraldic beasts that stood guard at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. The original casts are now held in the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. The mythical beast of the Griffin was believed to signify courage, strength, guardianship and vigilance, among other qualities. This coin features the badge of the House of Windsor. This Queen’s Beast Griffin comes in a plastic capsule with the official Royal Mint boxes, informative booklet and certificate of authenticity.
