It is the first time that four generations of the Royal Family have been commemorated on a coin. 2018 marks the 65th anniversary of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth coronation, the 70th birthday of His Majesty King Charles III, the 36th Birthday of Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge and the 5th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. The reverse of the coin combines the initials of each of them, whilst incorporating elements from the Royal Badge of the House of Windsor, such as the oak branches and crown. The obverse of the coin features Jody Clark’s portrait of Elizabeth II.
