The *Original* portrait shows Britannia on the shoreline with her hair and gown streaming in the sea breeze. The *Chariot* portrait features Britannia standing proud in her horse-drawn chariot whilst racing along the seashore. The *Britannia and the British Lion* depicts Britannia guiding a lion. The *Profile* features a representation of the head of Britannia wearing a helmet, a traditional attribute of hers. Britannia’s relation to the sea is shown through the wave patterns. Finally the *Seated* portrait shows Britannia in a more traditional pose, seated at the seashore, her helmet and robes paying tribute to her Roman origins.
