1907 Melbourne Sovereign PCGS MS64
Although a common date with a mintage of 3,332,691 pieces, the 1907M sovereign is very scarce in PCGS MS64 (as are all Edward VII sovereigns). The median grade of all Mint State 1907M sovs is 63 while the average is 62.65. No examples have graded better than MS64 (6/20). Collectors looking to build an Edward VII sovereign set should aim to buy an example graded at least MS63, but MS64 is also a realistic goal, as they are affordable. For the same reason, if you’re building a type set, the 1907M is an ideal date to represent the monarch. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
