These small red leather cases were used by [The Royal Mint](file:///buy-coins/the-royal-mint/) to package their gold proof [Sovereigns](file:///buy-coins/sovereign/) between 1983 and 1988. Sold without the coin, capsule or certificates of authenticity, these display boxes are popular for their compact size. They feature gold lettering to the lid, a press closure and a red velvet-lined interior with The Royal Mint's historic logo printed to the interior of the lid. - Smaller than modern Sovereign boxes and easy to store in your home safe or deposit box - Fitted case in excellent [pre-owned](file:///guides-and-info/pre-owned-coins/) condition with space for a 22.05mm Capsule No coins, capsules or certificates are included
