1904 Perth Half Sovereign PCGS MS62
All Perth half sovereigns minted prior to 1911 are scarce. Examples in Mint State are exceptionally so, with just four Perth half sovereigns graded PCGS MS62 (and none finer) across the entire Edward VII half sovereign series. The present coin is the equal-finest 1904P half sovereign certified by PCGS (6/24). Sourced in Adelaide, it is the nicest example we’ve handled ever, and equal in condition to the 1909P half sovereign in PCGS MS62 we sold in 2015 (which was the last time we had an Edward VII Perth half sovereign in this grade). A genuine rarity that is suitable for either collector or investor, this coin is an important Australian numismatic rarity and an essential addition to a connoisseur's or investor’s portfolio. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
