1904 Perth Half Sovereign PCGS AU58
While all half sovereigns from the reign of Edward VII are uncommon, there are a few coins that are particularly scarce. The 1904 Perth half sovereign is one of them. The mintage was just 60,000 pieces, with a supermajority of examples lost in time. The coin on offer here is a whisper off mint state, and is one of the nicest pieces I’ve handled for a number of years. Equal-fourth finest graded by PCGS (4/21) and scarce. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
