2025 ΕΛ privy Sovereign PCGS MS69
The 2025 ΕΛ privy sovereign, minted in limited quantities by the Royal Mint for Greece’s Piraeus Bank, celebrates decades of Anglo-Hellenic collaboration and the gold sovereign’s significance within the Greek community. Featuring the distinctive ΕΛ privy (for Ελλάδα, meaning Hellas), it was exclusively available to the bank’s customers in Greece, and sold only over the counter, with no online or mail orders. Consequently, it was not released into international coin markets, and secondary market availability outside Greece is extremely difficult. PCGS has graded just two coins, with the present coin currently the single-finest certified (5/26). For collectors of unique sovereigns, the Hellenic sovereign is an essential addition. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
