### **10 Roubles Russia Nicholas II Gold Coin AU AGW .2489 oz (Random Year, 1898-1911)** Bullion Exchanges is proud to carry the antique **10 Roubles Russia Nicholas II Gold Coin**, **** an older coin issued during the reign of the final house of the Russian monarchy. This coin honors the dynastic House of Romanov, and features Tsar Nicholas II on its obverse. [Tsar Nicholas II](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_II) was the last emperor of Russia before the revolution that established the Soviet Union, and is known for hiring the controversial figure Grigori Raputin into the court to act as a healer for his son's hemophilia. The coin is made from .9 gold with a weight of 0.2489 ounces and comes in almost uncirculated condition. The Romanovs issued this coin between 1898 and 1911 at a denomination of 10 roubles, though it is unlikely to serve as legal Russian tender now that their reign has been overthrown. The obverse features a portrait of Nicholas II in his iconic beard, along with his title inscribed in Russian. He stoically looks to the coin's left, projecting royal strength. The reverse displays the House of Romanov's Imperial Coat of Arms along with the seal of His Tsarist Majesty. Here, a shielded double-headed eagle with a crown on either head spreads its wings and lets out a piercing cry. The two crowns also connect to form a third, larger crown in between the two heads. It holds an imperial orb in one talon, and an imperial scepter in the other. The eagle's shield bears the coat of arms of Moscow, while its wings carry coats of arms for Kiev, Kazan, and various other Russian cities and former territories. Inscriptions include the denomination and year of mintage. **Coin Features:** - Made from .900 [gold](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold) at a weight of .2489 oz of gold. - Almost Uncirculated Condition - Face Value: 10 Roubles - Minted at the Russia Mint - **Obverse:** Shows Nicholas II along with his title inscribed in Russian - **Reverse:** Displays the House of Romanov's Imperial Coat of Arms along with the seal of His Tsarist Majesty.
