### **$1 Gold Liberty Head Type 1 - Almost Uncirculated AU (Random Year)** These Gold Liberty Head coins were designed by James B. Longacre and were only minted from 1849-1854 in five different mints:Philadelphia (no mint mark), Charlotte (C), Dahlonega (D), New Orleans (O) and San Francisco (S). For type I, Longarce designed a left facing portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a coronet in her hair which is inscribed with the word LIBERTY. This is the smallest size among all the coins in the history of US Coinage. The type I coins was the result of the California Gold Rush. These coins have a rich history and their price performance have been better than some modern gold bullion. **Coin Features:** - Contains .04837 Troy ounce of .900 pure gold. - Almost Uncirculated (AU) Condition. - **Obverse:** A design by James B. Longacre features a leftward facing profile portrait of Lady Liberty with a coronet in her hair with “LIBERTY” inscribed on it. Encircled by 13 stars to represent 13 original colonies of US. - **Reverse:** Features the denomination “1 DOLLAR” and the date encircled by a wreath which is once again encircled by the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” Two types in reverse design – one with open wreath and one with the closed wreath. - U.S. Mint issue from the following mints: Philadelphia (no mint mark), Charlotte (C), Dahlonega (D), New Orleans (O) and San Francisco (S). - Individual coins will be shipped in protective plastic flips. Multiple coins will be packaged in plastic tubes. - Minted from 1849-1854, dates and mint mark will be chosen randomly based on availability. - 100% authentic. **Why Buy $1 Gold Liberty Head Type 1?** - This the smallest coin in the entire US Coinage history and only 13 mm in diameter. - Small size makes it easy to store and carry these coins. - This is a pre-1933 gold coin and therefore it is rich in history and value. - The coins are rare. - Since Gold Liberty Head coins are not minted anymore, there is a high demand for collectors.
