Proof Gold 50p – Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 2022
Description This Proof 50p gold coin, dated 2022, honours the life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty was committed to serving the British people and the commonwealth and was the longest-reigning monarch. Elizabeth II acceded to the throne in 1952 and reigned for 70 years. On 8th September of 2022, she sadly passed away at Balmoral Castle. The obverse of the coin features the first left facing portrait of His Majesty The King, Charles III, by Martin Jennings. As a tribute to British coinage heritage and Elizabeth II, the reverse of the coin features the four shields of the Royal Arms. The shields surround the 1953 coronation crown with national flowers in between. The proof 50p coin comes in a plastic capsule, along with original Royal Mint boxes, certificate of authenticity and informative booklet.
