The set is made up of the following: £5, £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p and one penny. The Maundy Money is made up of the following: Four pence, three pence, two pence and one penny. During the Queen’s reign, all Maundy coins that were issued carry the portrait by Mary Gillick, the reverse features the value within a wreath. A centuries-old tradition is the Royal Maundy Service, whereby nominated individuals receive rarely seen Maundy money for contributions to their community and local church.
