Britannia’s relation to the sea is shown through the wave patterns. The border of the coin has been retained, shown on the Britannia designs since the original 1987 issue. The reverse of the coins feature Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The coin comes in a plastic capsule, along with original Royal Mint box and certificate of authenticity. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Free and VAT free.
