Description This Proof Britannia three coin set, dated 2003, bears a new reverse design. The set is made up of a half ounce, quarter ounce and one tenth ounce. The new design, by Philip Nathan, features a representation of the head of Britannia wearing a helmet, a traditional attribute of hers. Britannia’s relation to the sea is shown through the wave patterns. The border of the coin has been retained, shown on the Britannia designs since the original 1987 issue. The reverse of the coins feature Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This proof Britannia three coin set comes in original Royal Mint box with a certificate of aunthencity and plastic capsules for each coin. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) free.
