Platinum Jubilee of Her Late Majesty The Queen – Struck on 6 February 2022
Description This BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) gold sovereign, dated 2022, celebrates Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II becoming the first British monarch to reach a platinum jubilee. This special sovereign was struck on 6 February 2022. 70 years on from her accession to the throne in 1952, the Royal Mint have issued a Royal Coat of Arms design instead of the classic St. George and Dragon design which features on the majority of sovereigns. The obverse of the coin features Jody Clark’s portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which was the last sovereign she featured on. This Platinum Jubilee sovereign coin is struck in matte finish and comes in a plastic capsule along with original Royal Mint presentation box, outer sleeve and certificate of authenticity. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax. All of our proof gold coins and sets are verified for authenticity by our experienced team. Any coins that fall short of our quality standards are not re-sold.
