Description The Royal Mint commissioned a new series of coins that were first released in 2020; the “Music Legends” series celebrating the best of British pop and rock music. This is the first release in the series and focuses on the iconic band Queen. The reverse of the coin features the band’s name, surrounded by each members instrument. ‘The Bechstein’ grand piano, Brian May’s special red guitar, Taylor’s ‘Ludgwig’ bass drum that is decorated with the Queen crest, Deacon’s ‘Fender Precision Bass’ and Mercury’s signature mic stick. The obverse of the coin features Jody Clark’s portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. These coins are preowned. These coins benefit from being Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Free. All UK gold and silver bullion coins manufactured by the Royal Mint are legal tender and are exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
