Description One Ounce Silver Cougar 2016 are preowned coins and are part of the Predator Series, issued by the Royal Canadian Mint, this is the first design of four coins. The one ounce silver Cougar coins have a face value of 5 Canadian dollars and contains 1oz of .9999 pure silver. On the reverse of the coin we see the iconic cougar leaping towards its prey with the iconic Maple Leaf privy mark. The obverse displays the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Both the obverse and reverse of the coin have radial lines, this extra security feature was added into the design to reduce the risk of counterfeiting and surface damage.
